Docente contratada pela USP desde 1977. Concluiu seu doutorado em 1986 pela USP. Entre 1992 e 1993 realizou estágio de Pós-Doutorado no “Centro de Recheche sur les Macromolécules Vegétales”- Grenoble-França.




Linhas de Pesquisa

- Polimeros Naturais: Obtenção de polímeros e compósitos reforçados com fibras vegetais. Correlação Estrutura – Propriedades.
- Derivatização de Celuloses, obtidas de fontes vegetais diversificadas (bagaço de cana de açúcar, sisal, linter.).
- Polieletrólitos – Estudo Físicoquímico da atuação de polímeros naturais como agente defloculante em dispersões.
